Hi varsha, we cannot say for sure what the cutoffs are going by just the trends here.

See, low scorers going for duals doesn't matter at all. It's what happens after you come to BITS, and how you do here that matters. At least for the Goa Campus, in the 2007 batch, I can safely say that there are quite a few 9.5+ pointers per course (i.e there is at least one person per course who has scored a cg of 10 in at least one sem), be it BE or M.sc Dual or M.sc Tech.

As for the M.sc Dual and BE thing, if you want to score a direct transfer from M.sc to BE, you will need a CG of 10.

If you want a M.sc Dual+ a BE of your choice, you should comfortably score around a CG of 8, which is not really difficult to get.

one cannot actually decide the cut-offs . it depends on lots of factors.
If u hav read abt the dual degree system in BITS
If ur unsure of what u like. or u just want a B.E. degree?

one of my fren had BITSAT score of 351 and he desperately wanted CS. He simply took MSc Eco. If u hav read abt the dual degree system here in BITS , u'll come to kno that arnd 7.5-7.8+ u can get a dual in B.E. CS Very Happy

. and followed by all other braches EEE/EnI 6.8-7.2+ etc. may vary a bit

So do consider abt MSc too.

ma score in bitsat is 276.m in d eml.n ma aieee score is 201.so ma expctd rank in aieee is around 15000-18000.
can u suggest d best possible option 4 me?
i wud lyk u 2 knw dat i had dropped 1 year.i cannot afford 2 make a wrong decision nw.

check your eml rank, that is announced.
but i don't think jee will fetch you anything

2) wait for your aieee results
state rank is also as much important as ur air in aieee.

3) bitsat
you can get MSc courses at all the campuses including few in Pilani

in my opinion opting for bits is the best option available
you should go thru MSc related threads in this forum

the fact that you've dropped 1yr should be last factor while coming a decision.

u can get few MSc courses at Pilani/Goa, take'em. First yr course is same for ALL students, simply score arnd 7.8+ to get Dual in B.E. u want, even cg for EEE/Eni is arnd 7 and followed bu other branches

i think u'l easily get MSc Bio and mayb one more last MSc in Pilani. followed by few more MSc in Goa. and considerable more in Hyderabad
