i think u are 100% right
even andhra pradesh board is very very very very very easy than cbse board.
iam 10th cbse board and 12th andhra pradesh board. i got 87%in 10th and 94% in 12th so iam not qualified as my 10th marks are less even 12th more

Strange admission procedures.
Probably they need to reach out to a larger number of students.I mean even the IIT JEE extended merit list which was just a few 1000 last to last year , was made till 50,000 last year! _________________ The Shadow returns.

Exactly .i expected a CBSE cut off of atleast 85% in comparison to the karnataka state cut off
By raising it all the way to 92% i dont see how they can reach out to a larger section of students |

Look at the ICSE cutoffs. 95 % .
Although I could've managed to scrape through.
Waise I've heard that there wont be any EML from this year onwards. Read that in a newspaper. _________________ Msc. (Tech) Information Systems

any idea whether these percentages apply for science + math avg or aggregate of all 5
i.e. science + math for X AND p+c+m for XII
cause if thats the case i think i can just manage to get in cause ive got a 96% aggregate (science + math ) in X
Dont know why im discussing this now cause the application for direct stream is in June nevertheless
Cheers

But i guess if you are admitted into IIST .you would be doing a very specialized course(avionics , aeronautics etc ) and would be stuck with the ISRO or related fields.
It would be difficult for a person to get out of it (my opinion)
So unless you are extremely interested in these stuff .i really dont think anyone should go . wat say guys ? |
