I have been allotted Manufacturing Engineering at BITS-Pilani.

1. What is the scope of Manufacturing Engineering in the coming future?
2. Of what i have heard from different people it is somewhat close to Mechanical?. If someone could throw some light on its course structure it would be a immense help for me.

PS- I have 313 BITSAT score . Could i slide up to chemical. I am very much interested in Chemical Engineering.

PPS- I am also interested in doing MS/MBA from US university.

My brother did his B tech in manufacturing from IIT Kgp. He's completed his ms and going for phd at the Ohio State University , with full scholarship and a monthly stipened of $1500.

Do I need to say more?
