Guys nobdy need to say wat we are & wat we"l be...& no need to mention wat our achievmnts are..

We are still new & fresh & dats wat is our advantage, ppl dnt expect us to be gud..dat makes it even better fr us..

I"l tell one story..

When we were there@ Imagine cup Finals..Amidst the 11 projects showcased..there was greatest buzz about our project amidst the judges becoz many of the judges din even knew a college like us existed & were kinda confused..

So one of the judges..Nasscom Ex president & Microsoft India Acedemic head came to ur booth & got to know about our project which they heard from other judges.

Then one of the judges asked...You guys from goa???
we said yes..He said You ppl MEites..???
We said second years..Nd he said...Nice..so you guys are young jus like your college & btw ur college luks awsome..

After that when we went on the stage, we had no pressure becoz nobdy knew us..nobdy knew we CAN be gud...so we gave it all...

I still remember the crowd chanting for us..Go Goa..Go Goa...

Wat i want to convey is...
We are new..We can do things which ppl never did..things which can make us different..Mayb then we"l b able to justify the BITS name given to us which ppl quite often question..
And as theres a saying...
The journey continues...Journey might be difficult..ppl will question you over the path you have taken..but if u r hard enough to keep going..u"l succeed.

Hope....Nobdy will cm up with Goa campus is dis n dat after this post..

His mindset is clear when he goes on to trash Microsoft vising BPGC. Ok, agreed it wasn't their best division. But still, its Microsoft. And they're paying 8.5. Only a person with insecurity and malicious intentions would go on to trash MSFT visiting campus.

but i scarcely see any other coll students sticking up to their coll. u ppl do it always.

I have made a post "Must Read - Dangerous Advices in the Forum".

I that post I have also written that BITSian, particularly BITS, Goa, need not reply to any trash post with full details. That is not maturity. You should reply only to queries which are really useful and where someone wants to get some useful insight into the college. What is this abusing each other over petty issues like package, which div of Microsoft visit Goa and which Pilani .

To me it looks utterly disgusting and below the dignty of BITSians. Senior don't mind but please take lessons from Great Indians who have succeeded in their respective fields. Late Smt. Indira Gandi never used to even mention the name of her opponent. Because she know if she harps on her opponent, it is the opponent that gets free publicity.

Please stop this petty fight over package and which company visits Goa. We freshers very well know that BITS is great. Pilani is the old and most prestigious campus but Goa is also great. Infra, is better in Goa. As far as package and all these things are concerned, it depends upon the individual what he does in the 4 years in the campus. Goa campus gives everything to you to develop and rest depends upon students.

I have not seen IIT Guwahati students writting such posts in GOIIIT forum.
BITSians it is high time you make this forum more useful and motivate freshers to do something good in life and not merely talk of pay package and placement.

no anam (excuse the short form) i think there were some gr8 posts in this topic.. and sometimes freshers are mislead (as u have rightly mentioned in ur topic) into taking not-so-good courses/colleges... so if any doubts are raised, posts like these will surely clarify things...

@Anamika: I respect your opinion on this. But I strongly feel there's need to reply to such remarks.

First, ours is a budding campus. We are yet to make a "mark" amongst everyone. Unlike IIT G today, parents still have plenty of doubts about Goa Campus. Leaving such posts like this will only increase their doubts. So we need to atleast get their facts right!

Second, to ensure that others are not mislead by such comments, we HAVE to give facts & figures. I wouldn't believe anyone if he would say "You can say wateva you wanna.. I know my campus roxxx and u can't do a thing about it!". It shows your inability to defend your point with reason & proper logic.

Third, it helps us pass time Very Happy

Last year, I used to spend most of the time on this forum reading all such posts. Guess what, I'm still doing the same!

@Anamika ... I disagree with your point of view. The whole idea of the forum is to clear BITS related doubts of EVERYBODY, be it aspirants like you, their parents, or even other BITSians.

Pilani is gr8 no doubt,,,,but dat doesnt at all mean goa isnt........i think goa is evn grter...better....(i m going pilani) .......atleast d guys here r d best humans i hav ever met in my lif.........hats off to them......!

go through the orkut communities of BITS Pilani, goa and some of the IITs
you will find that the seniors are ragging the juniors in most of those comms. and using really harsh swear words{even the hindi bad words}
the goa comm has the least e-ragging and i didnt notice any of em swearin at juniors

look at this forum : i called a guy an eunuch and my post was censored. so you can imagine how strict the admins are{too strict wtf eunuch is a word you ll find in any dictionary};
